How To Replace The LG 5231JA2006F LT600P Water Filter: 1. Turn the used filter counterclockwise 1/4 turn and pull filter straight down. (The water shuts off automatically so you don't have to worry about flooding your refrigerator). 2. Push the filter straight up into the fridge until it stops. 3. Turn the filter clockwise 1/4 turn. 4. Flush water for about 5 minutes to condition the filter and discard that water. 5. If your refrigerator has a 'Filter Reset' light, reset it.
How To Reset The 'Filter Reset' Light: 1. Press and hold the 'Reset' button for 3 seconds. The light should then turn green.
For best performance and to ensure clean and safe drinking water, it is highly recommended to change your filter every 6 months.
